Waste Shredder Machine For Small Towns in India

Waste Shredder Machine For Small Towns in India

India’s large population combined with the many poor people who live in rural areas creates a serious waste problem. In areas where recycling is not available, people often burn waste, creating air pollution and increasing the risk of fires. The problem is most severe in rural India, where many villages have no garbage disposal system. The Indian government has been working on solutions for the past few years and the invention of a new waste shredder machine has been a recent success.

Waste Shredder Machine

The Indian government has begun to invest in waste shredder machines in rural towns to help reduce waste, which is rapidly becoming a problem. Waste shredding machines can take anything from food scraps to old pieces of paper and turn it into the following, depending on the machine: compost, dirt, heat energy, or fertilizer. It is estimated that India produces about 15 million tons of solid waste each year.

More than 60% of India’s population live in rural areas, many without access to proper waste disposal. It is estimated that three million tons of garbage are generated by Indians everyday. However, this number does not include the amount generated by urban households. To combat this issue, an Indian company designed a machine to shred garbage into small pieces and convert it into fuel for stoves or fertilizer for crops.
